Compiler documentation

Question raised :

Where can I find general info regarding the online compiler?
ie how many bytes are used for chars, etc?

The best place to look for the nitty gritty detail about the compiler is :

http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.dui0348b/DUI0348B_rvct_compiler_ref_guide.pdf

Specifically, section 5.1.2 talks about size and alignment of data sizes.

You can also browse all the documentation in quite a nice html "infocenter" directory environment. Here is the direct link to the section 5.1.2 that specifies the datatypes:

I'm kinda partial to Keil version - much more lightweight and snappier in my Opera.
