How to connect LCD to mbed

Hello!

Can anyone help me and tell me how to connect a 16x2 lcd to my mbed. The problem is i cant find any manual what says what pin on my lcd is what. The pins are marked from 1 to 16 in a row, thats it.

I failed to identify the exact model of my LCD as the letter/number combinations behind the LCD give no good results in google.

Maybe theres a default way how those pins are arranged. Like power is 1st etc.
