compiler rollback not beta mode

26 Jul 2011

Hi

After we try compiler in beta mode with our code and library the bin file cannot run. Therefore, we always not used beta mode to compile our code.

Our code is running fine with compiler not in beta mode. But a few day ago we notice that there are commit and revision feature in the compiler and our code get compile with no error but cannot run. We guess that the compiler has been upgraded.

How we can rollback to use the old compiler?

Does any one have the same problem as we have how do you solve it?

I have been using it for a month and it seems to compile and run Ok for my programs.

Is it just your program that doesn't work or does the basic HelloWorld app that you get with new projects also fail to run? If it fails as well, is it possible that it isn't building for the correct hardware variant of the mbed?

Hi Ostek,

Yes, we upgraded the IDE late last week. It has been stable and in use on beta for a while with no problem reports, so went mainline; would certainly like to hear if anyone is having problems.

Any further information would be useful; as Adam asks, is the same true of all/basic programs, or is this just particular programs? If you can provide us something to reproduce we'll get it fixed asap.

You can always email support@mbed.org if you'd rather not share the program.

Thanks, Simon
