Compiler problems with IE9

19 Mar 2013

Hi! Since a few days I have some trouble using the compiler with Internet Explorer 9. The Popups are not working. I can not see anything. When using right mouse button, nothing happens. When clicking on commit, the screen darkens and a carret is blinking, but I can not see the popup window.

Please fix!

Hi BlazeX,

I'm simply another user, and IE9 has been working fine for me over the last days (and seconds ago to test for you). Perhaps clearing the cache and cookies will resolve your issue? Hopefully nothing deeper than that - like removing addins, and so forth.

Hi BlazeX,

We would need more information about your setup if that's okay - enabled browser plugins, anti-virus and firewall software.
Also could you please attach screenshots of the issue?
If you're reluctant to share them in the forums, you send us an email at support@mbed.org

Thanks advance,
Mihail

Hi again! OK, it seems to be a problem of my system. I have deleted all cookies and cache data. I set default security settings. But the problems is still not solved.

Screenshots? Here are my addons: /media/uploads/BlazeX/addons.jpg and the dark screen without the commit popup: /media/uploads/BlazeX/darkens.jpg

My system. OS: MS Windows 7 Pro x64 Anti Virus: MS Security Essentials

Any ideas?

Hi BlazeX,

We've tried various methods to reproduce the issue on IE9/IE8 with no success.
My best guess is that this is a specific case tied to your configuration/setup, otherwise it would have been reported by others as well.

How is the Compiler running on IE10?

Cheers,
Mihail

Hi Mihail,

I have tried an other PC running IE9, and the problem seems to be specific to my notebook.

The Compiler is running fine on IE10. I have seen no trouble.

I ran into similar issues with IE9 on Windows 7. IE9 seems to get confused about the use of http: and https:.
