Dr Jeremy Bennett is founder and Chief Executive of Embecosm, a provider of services, tools and models for embedded software development. He was previously Vice President of ARC International plc, following its acquisition of Tenison Design Automation where he had been CEO and Chief Technology Officer.

Until 2001, Dr Bennett was Vice President at Marconi PLC, where he held posts in sales, marketing and engineering management and led the introduction of UML design methodologies and later agile programming into Marconi's main software development processes. He was previously on the faculty of Bath University School of Mathematical Sciences, where he pursued research interests in automated computer instruction set design and compiler technology. He is the author of Introduction to Compiling Techniques (McGraw-Hill 1990, 1996, 2003).

Jeremy Bennett holds a MA and PhD from Cambridge University, England.
