Well, I am an author for Nuts N Volts magazine, and Servo magazine. I am planning on reviewing this product.
Pros
Up and running lightning fast.
Cons
Must be connected to the internets.
Seem to not be able to copy from the library and paste into my code. Don't know if that is a browser thing or their thing.
Hi Mike
as an amateur I think that the `Up and running lightning fast` definitely outweighs the internet connectivity issue. Looking to the future, who isn`t going to be connected to the net at any moment in time? Also, as a learning resource I think that the mbed is a giant leap in embedded programming, and must be exploited as such.
Only my personal opinion of course.
Best regards
P. Smith.
It is better than making a cross compiler toolchain, but there are many times that I am without internet due to professional circumstances, where not being able to make modifications would be a huge liability. For a learner, it is nice to not have to deal with extraneous issues to be sure.
Not being able to copy from the library descriptions is a known bug. For now you'll have to rely on Handbook opened in a separate tab.
