A sensor (3-axis accelerometer) built into the E-Dice allows it to detect motion. Shaking the E-Dice, or simply tapping hard on the table, will trigger it to change the LEDs.

The E-Dice runs off of a single 2032 battery or through the micro USB connector. Any mobile phone charger with a micro USB connector can be used for power. Another option is to use any micro USB cable and plug it between the E-Dice and a USB port on any PC.

How do I update the firmware?

In the case of updating the firmware, press and hold the User 1 button found on the E-Dice board before plugging it in. Keep holding the button and plug it into any USB port. The PC should detect a USB memory drive as explained in the firmware update page. Please note in the image below, that the USB connector on the E-Dice is pointing to the right.

How do I get started?

After selecting the mBuino platform in the compiler, click the import program button:

Import programOfficial_E-Dice

The preloaded firmware shipped on the E-Dice.

What's next?

You can program the buttons to perform different variants of the preloaded game or create a new game altogether!.
