Path errors with Windows rev1803 or later an mbed studio

Hello.

With windows release 1803 or later mbed studio seems to have problems with path names where ':' are inside. It's represented as '%3A' and MBED Studio didn't find the files or pathes.

Example: - start mbed studio - >> File >> New Program... >> Select example program "mbed-os-example-blinky" >> Add Program - Output: Could not create mbed-os-example-blinky at file:/d%3A/workspace: ..........

For me it seems to be the problem described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4467268/url-encoded-unc-paths-not-url-decoded-in-windows-10-version-1803-later

Did any one have any informations for me how to solve these Problem and get mbed studio working without a roll back to old windows version ?

Best regards, Volker

Hi Volker,

Thank you for reporting this issue. Mbed Studio team tried to reproduce this issue on Windows 10 release 1809. It is working correctly on that version. Would you mind updating your Windows to at least that revision and try again? Please use a latest version of Mbed Studio 0.6.0. It was released yesterday and can be downloaded from https://os.mbed.com/studio. You can also use auto-update mechanism present in Mbed Studio 0.5.3.

Do not hesitate to update this thread with the results of your findings.

Kind Regards

Arek - Mbed Studio team

Hello Arek,

Thank you for the new Version 0.6.0. I'm still testing, but this one seems to handle the pathes correct.

Kind regards, Volker
