FRDM-KL25Z latest firmware (Mbed Studio IDE)

What is the latest version of firmware for the FRDM-KL25Z?

In the handbook (https://os.mbed.com/handbook/Firmware-FRDM-KL25Z) is written: "The latest firmware version for the FRDM-KL25Z is: 0243. To check your firmware version, open the MBED.HTM file on your mbed Microcontroller."

But on the handbook page, I just found a download link for the version 0203 and older. But when I upload the firmware 0203 to the FRDM-KL25Z and use it with new Mbed Studio IDE I got an error with the message like "You have old firmware. Please update the firmware to get the DAPlink work".

Could you tell me what is the newest Mbed firmware for FRDM-KL25Z and where I can find that?

Best regard,

Jarek Páral

You can try the firmware as indicated from PEmicro, but I didn't have much luck. Mbed Studio does not recognize it for me, but I am using Windows 7, although it did work okay with Mbed online drag & drop. r203 does work with Mbed Studio, you just get that message. I believe r.0243 had issues some time back so it was removed.

Edit..

Ignore that, here's the NXP link that contains rev 0242

https://www.nxp.com/support/developer-resources/run-time-software/kinetis-developer-resources/ides-for-kinetis-mcus/opensda-serial-and-debug-adapter:OPENSDA?&tid=vanOpenSDA#FRDM-KL25Z

Download Binary, extract ZIP file, put your K25 into 'bootloader' mode (Hold down the rest button while plugging USB connector), drop the .BIN file onto the 'bootloader' drive, cycle power and you should get rev 0242.

Tried on Mbed Studio and is working properly.

Thank you for this advice. Now it is working correctly in Mbed Studio IDE.

Could anybody from Mbed update the Firmware-FRDM-KL25Z webpage (https://os.mbed.com/handbook/Firmware-FRDM-KL25Z) and add there the link for the newest firmware: https://www.nxp.com/support/developer-resources/run-time-software/kinetis-developer-resources/ides-for-kinetis-mcus/opensda-serial-and-debug-adapter:OPENSDA?&tid=vanOpenSDA#FRDM-KL25Z
