Hi Wei Meng,

I remember when I updated firmware of my mbed LPC1768, I had to install once again mbed Windows serial port driver. You can download it from https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Windows-serial-configuration After that, when I plugged mbed, it was recognized as new USB peripheral and everything was working.

I've had problems when loading the firmware too. After digging a little in the provider's site, it appeared that the problem was an incompability with Windows 8 in the previous firmware versions. The solution was to use an old computer with an XP windows OS and it worked!!!

Hope it can help.

I just encountered the same thing on Windows 10. Went back and used a windows XP computer and it worked fine. Once mbed is installed the windows 10 computer works OK so it is only when updating the mbed firmware that I have to use the old computer.
