can this device support 9v dc power supply from vDD?

nucleo l15

Question relating to:

Affordable and flexible platform to ease prototyping using a STM32L152RET6 microcontroller.

Mr. Andy, is there any amperage limit too. I mean is it harmful for the micro chip to run on 1A power supply at 9v?

From the page linked to in your question:

Flexible board power supply: USB VBUS or external source (3.3 V, 5 V, 7 - 12 V)

9 is between 7 and 12 so yes it will run from 9V.

That's not how electricity works. A 9V 1A power supply doesn't always supply 1A no matter what, it can supply up to 1A before the voltage starts to drop below 9V. How much current is taken depends entierly upon what you connect.
