Alternate serial connection

Hello,

Some shield on the page have this note: (2) To use this shield with ST Nucleo platforms you will need to remove SB13 and SB14 .. I would prefer to not damage the board by removing SB13 and SB14 so I would like to use the alternate solution: connect other serial enabled pins.

Does this mean that I must connect with a wire any serial pin on the board to the D0/D1 pins on the shield? Like Serial4 TX to Serial2 RX/D0 and/or Serial4 RX to Serial 2 TX/D1?

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, you can do this, it should work. Note that the D0/D1 pins are also mapped on the CN10 Morpho connector. So, you can use this connector for your wires and leave the Arduino connector for the shield.
