Is mbed staff abducted by aliens?

Or is there another reason for the, even more than usual, communication blackout?

I am still around :)

Hi Eric,

I can't tell you a new date for when mbed OS's beta release will be available publicly, there are a few more things that need to be completed before it is made available, my understanding is that it's not far off now.

Steve

Now we are talking. LOL. Please keep us posted. Thanks.

You're so funny, I guess they're working on the mbed OS 3.0 tonight.: P

Now we have day D +2 and mbed staff is remaining silent about beta OS 3.0 still - very frustrating...

Their github has commits everyday...

Yeah, but no information whatsoever about the STM32F7 which alot of people are waiting on (and which shows like it is available). No information regarding mbed OS which should have been released (the beta).

And thats ignoring the other stuff like platforms which simply do not get added even though they are ready (and have been ready for months), and lets not get started about the github issues page.

Edit: Btw also don't forget many of those commits are from the community.

Erik, I am around :-)there are things to do around cortex M7, I'll provide more details if I find those M7 questions again.

What platforms are not being added? It's not about only mbed stuff .

That would be the teensy platform.

It's like a fine wine Erik, takes time to mature to perfection, Rome wasn't build in a day either, lets hope that ST gets their platform working properly in less than three thousand years. Might be lucky :)

You have a point. But I am with Erik here. It is completely fine to delay a release, be it alpha or beta. We all have been there. What we are missing here is something, a tip, an comment, or anything, from mbed.

The DISCO_F7 SDK is working perfectly for me using mbed-src and Keil uVision or IAR toolchains. I use also STM32CubeF7 with many of ST examples. The fact that it is not on the mbed IDE is due to ARM delay not ST... Don't mix everything ;-)

I thought mbed staff were aliens! May be they are out star trekking, and left Martin to baby sit. Or they are all stuck at the BBC with the makeup artist?

That seems like a reasonable explanation: The fame regarding that BBC board went to their head :P

Hi,

We have just launched the new www.mbed.com which is dedicated to mbed OS.

There's also new forums (http://forums.mbed.com/) where you can ask questions about mbed OS, and hopefully finally receive some answers!

Congrats.

Note, you dont have a root domain setup so you cant get to www.mbed.com by going to mbed.com

That works for me.
