there is a fail.txt, but it does not stay in the volume : something about power...

Can you confirm that you supply 7-17v DC on the Barrel jack connector or the VIN pin on the Arduino headers? You have to supply power in addition to connecting USB.

yes : i have external power to the 1-17V Barrel Jack ( 12v ) , pulling ca. 500mA and a powered USB Hub

You need to power with USB and a external power supply on VIN (7-17V).

Few questions to help us debug this:

  • Do you see the mbed disk?
  • Could you please let me know the content of mbed.htm file?
  • Is there a fail.txt file after you drag and drop the program?

in the meantime i updated to the latest ( 28.2.2014 ) Firmware : still got the same problems.. Also tried with a Linux Machine : can't copy any .bins

A power consumption of >500mA is too high, I would expect something like 200mA at VIN even with the GSM/3G in connected mode.
