Giving 4.5 - 14V to latest mbed

The new mbed 1768 says the input voltage range is 4.5-9V. One year back I bought 5 mbeds and I designed a base board for these. Not I want to buy more mbeds and use them with the same base board. The input to mbed from baseboard is 12V (as per the design for old mbed 1768). So can I use the same base board which gives 12V input power to latest mbed?

Yes, you can, with consideration of what you are driving.
