LPC1768 Vin

The HANDBOOK for the LPC1768 shows a Vin of 4.5 to 9.0 vdc and the pinout card that came with the LPC17868 shows a Vin of 4.5 to 14.0 vdc. Which is correct? I would like to power the mbed from a 12vdc source.

I am powering a xbee from the 3.3 bus and powering the mbed thru the USB(no external power) can the mbed supply enough power when the xbee is drawing max current or can the voltage dip and create problems with the LPC1768(such as hangs).

Hi Bill,

You will probably be fine to power it by 12v; you just need to take in to consideration the amount of current you'll be drawing. For a good explanation (including why we revised it to 9.0v), take a look at this thread on the power supply and LDO specs.
