How to set or get frequency clock - K64F

I wonder at what frequency my K64F board is running, as did some testing and all and the results show that it is running at low frequency.
1st Test: Running a simple program that turns on and off the digital pins, the pins connected an oscilloscope, a result 400 nanoseconds, about 2.5MHz, in high level and more 400 nanoseconds in low level.
2. In one of the programs that I am developing a simple mathematical sequence take long to execute.
I would like to now if I can check on how often the Freescale K64F board is running and has been setting the clock, even when directly changing the registers.
