256000 baud rate

Anyway to get the mbed to support a baud rate of 256000? I am trying to transfer data to a 4d Systems serial display at the displays max rated speed. So far searching the boards seems to show the mbed is limited to only standard baud rates.

Have you tried setting it to 256000? It might just work.

Yes I have but not with in the past few hours if your hinting at having it fixed.

No changes, but we do calculate the closest match we can, so I'd have expected it to work if the settings can be setup to support it. It is only the USB serial interface that uses a lookup table of standard settings.

Hi Fred,

I may have a solution to this. The 4D Systems display I use required the baud to be set to 281000 baud to communicate at 256k. This is nothing to do with the mbed but a oddity with the 4D systems hardware!
