Build from browser repository (not import to compiler)

I want to share a project with someone, but keep one library private. I tried that, but they can't import it into the compiler. The .lib doesn't import. It tries to reference the private source code. So then I thought I could maybe compile it from the repo directly. Beneath the "import into Compiler" button is a "Build Repository" button. But when I try to compile I get "Compile Started. Internal Error. Failed!" It does not matter whether I am logged in as the user with access to the private library or not. Does this "build repository" link usually work? FYI, the program compiles fine in the compiler.
