Difference between "OM11043,598" and "mbed-005.1"

06 May 2011

Hello,

i want to buy a mbed, but found two different (?) mbed at mouser:

http://de.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NXP-Semiconductors/OM11043598/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsT%252b4Qrr2iI8mk%2flFtAWoCK

http://de.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Keil-Tools/mbed-0051/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsqIGqlaWy0RBewT%252bx4q2po

Is the hardware the same ? What is the difference ? Price is also almost the same...

Best regards,

Martin

Hi,

This is odd.

They are both the LPC1768 mbed, and so there should be no difference between them.

For clarity, the active version can be referred to as :

mbed NXP LPC1768 (our name for it) OM11043 (NXP part number) mbed-005.1 (our part number of the board)

The earlier beta version was :

mbed NXP LPC2368 (our name) OM11042 (NXP part number) mbed-002.2 (our part number)

As one of the mouser links refers to OM11043 and the other mbed-005.1, they should be the same. I will contact mouser.

In the mean time, you might want to go by the cheaper one of the two!

Thanks, Chris
