16 Bit Parallel Bus LCD Interface

23 May 2011

Hi All,

Following some of the threads regarding the PortOut command I'd thought I'd give it a go on an LCD display I have that uses a 16bit parallel input bus. I was amazed by the performance it was nuclear. I was able to display a window with gradient colour fills in both the title and status bar and place a couple of buttons in the window with out any noticeable delay.

The rendering was pretty much instantaneous.

I've attached a screen shot of my test window:

I will post a video soon showing the rendering process. In case anyone is interested I'm working on GUI framework, the above screen shot is of the window element of my GUI framework.

Hello Robin,

take a look on the projects of Ale C. There you can find a small GUI for 16bit parallel input and menue structures.
