Hi.. I had a "cut and paste" error a few minutes ago. I was cutting and pasting from one program to another and it went haywire. It pasted twice, and then it wouldn't let me move the cursor to my existing code, that was there before the paste. I noticed that there was one of those "error warnings" on the bottom left of the page. So I clicked it. It said I could copy the details of the error. So I did. Cut and paste has started working very weird for me over the last week. The best description is that it just appears to be random. I copy a piece of text from one location in the source file (or from another application on the Mac) and then when I go to paste it, it might: * Do nothing * Paste some older text from the clipboard * Actually paste what I want Even if it works once on the paste, if I go to paste the same text again, one of the wrong things still might happen. It started around the time the switch to the new compiler happened but I had been using the Beta previously with no problems. I think it is more likely related to an update in Safari that I took some time last week. I am running the latest build of Safari (Version 5.1 (6534.50)) on Snow Leopard. I tried shutting down the browser and starting it back up a few times and it doesn't really seem to help. Workaround: When it doesn't paste what I want, I press Command+Z to undo and try again and usually on the first or second retry, it pastes what I expect.

Hi Adam, I just did some testing on safari 5.0 which fine, then upgraded to 5.1, and the behaviour you describe appeared. So this certainly seems related to something the Safari guys have changed, and is unrelated to our update. However, rather than just pointing the finger, we'll see if we can find a workaround to whatever they have changed, or try and work with Apple if it is a real bug. Thanks for the report, Simon

Simon, thanks for looking at this so quickly. I appreciate it. It's nice to know that it isn't just my machine. Hopefully you can find a workaround relatively quickly. It does making editing code with the default browser on the Mac a bit of a pain.
