Just an idea.. lots of people new to mBed are also new to electronics in general.

we see lots of questions on the mBed areas about general electronic principles to be used when connecting stuff to mbed.

for instance there are questions about LED's and resistors, or potential dividers, etc.

How about a forum where just this general stuff could be asked ? It'll keep the mBed forum cleaner.

Is there already something that would perform this function, out there, in ‘teh interweb’?

It’d save duplication, maintenance and effort if it already exists in a general form. It’s a wide enough topic to not have to be specialised to the mbed particularly and the audience (and therefore the expertise) would be more plentiful if it ranged across a variety of implementations.
