Downloading platform firmware with MS web browsers bug - renames file extension from *.if to *.html

The current MS web browsers (Explorer and Edge) both save mbed *.if firmware files as *.html for some strange reason. Chrome and Firefox do not. Since it has the wrong file extension, the mbed firmware does not install until it is renamed *.if. I had issues with this on the LPC1768 platform. Firmware update page likely needs a warning about this.

Jim,

How are you saving the files to your computer?
Are you right clicking and then save as?
Are you simply clicking on the files? Are you pressing CTRL+S ?
Also, what version of windows / what version number of the web browser are you using?

EDIT: I have discovered what the problem is and raised it as an issue internally. We will post here when a solution has been implemented.

My workaround was to use Chrome or Firefox, or go in and rename the file extension using Windows (after saving it with an MS browser)
