Old Notebook code snips no longer display correctly

01 Aug 2012

I have quite a few old notebook pages with code snips (i.e. <<code>>....<</code>>) that have links from the cookbook. They were OK, but do not display correctly in a PC web browser now? (IE8 or Firefox). All the C++ code comes out as plain text and the code tag strings like "<<" and "">>" somehow turned into "&lt;<" and ">&gt;" (which seems to be a big part of the problem). Newly created notebook pages seem to work OK and my old pages with code snips that were in the cookbook area are still OK.

If I do an edit "preview" everything goes back and displays OK?

Here is one short example: http://mbed.org/users/4180_1/notebook/cc-io-register-names/

Any tags with "<<" or ">>" seem to have the same problem.

Hi Jim,

Hopefully all fixed now!

Thanks! - looks a lot better now. Like the new code syntax coloring.

P.S. Noted another strange issue. In IE 8 or Firefox on my PC, only the top edit button works and the lower edit button (at the end of the page) does not do anything on a notebook page edit.

That little bug is fixed in betamode (http://mbed.org/betamode/) along with a shiny new http://mbed.org/code/ page amongst a few other things.
