Getting Parts for mbed Interfaces

The mbed system is great, but you'll need to buy a few parts to get certain interfaces working.  The nice part is that you don't need to pay for systems you think you'll never use.

This is an attempt to collect a list of what is needed to get different subsystems working.. with part numbers, so you can order what you need easily... Everything here is designed for breadboard prototyping, so you just need to collect and assemble the parts, place them on the breadboard, and wire it up to your mbed.
