Shield adding 3 pairs of Midi port: Pin holes Ixy are connected to midi in connectors x (1 to 3) / pin y (4 or 5) Pin holes Oxy are connected to midi out connectors x (1 to 3) / pin y (4 or 5)
UC 1 to 3 are photcouplers
The mbed and the shield can fit (very tightly) in a 9V battery compartment of a small plastic box.
