mbed LPC1768 Eagle library
Hello all,
This Eagle library which i've created is suitable for easy and fast layout
without headache of returning to references to see which pin is that or where
the pin number x or what is the describtion of this pin so, this library will
save your time and accelerate your ideas during PCB design.
here is the schematic symbol:
and here is the PCB layout:
As you can see the schematic symbol is easy and clear with mbed and Cortex
logos also, the PCB layout will give you a real view for the mbed kit in your
design.
Download Page:
MBED_v2.1.lbr
Enjoy it
I'm having errors when I try to download the lbr

Hello Mohamed,
nice drawings but there are some problems with your eagle mbed.lbr.
- schematic: it,s not placed in eagles's default raster.
- package: the pads are ways to large. Please use a smaller diameter that wires can be routed between two mbed pins
- package mbed pads: you defined a 0.6 mm drill diameter. Should be 0.8 mm or so.
best regards
Franz

Hello Franz,
Thanks for your valuable notes.I've modified the mbed library and i've uploaded version 2 with the following modifications:
* Schematic symbol is now placed in Eagle's default raster.
*The pads diameter are suitable for routing between mbed pins
* mbed pads are 0.8 mm drill diameter.
please use the following link if the above link doesn't work:

Hello Mohamed,
i have used your eagle lib today and discovered one more problem. The schematic-connections (pins) of the right side of the mbed device are not in eagle's default raster. Left side is ok :-)

Hello,
Sorry Franz for this issue,I've modified this problem and I've uploaded Mbed.lbr V2.1 in download section.
Please don't delete your Eagle schematic just download the library and modify its name to Mbed.lbr instead of Mbed_v2.1.lbr and then in your schematic editor click library list then select update... and then browse for Mbed.lbr in your hard drive and it will be updated automatically.
Have a nice day
Hi Mohamed,
no sorry, please, because you did a really nice job on this so far. Together we just make it perfect :-)

no problem, Mohamed. I think i am an eagle user to eagles version back to the MS DOS age :-)
@Mohamed
Thank you for this contribution. It's nice work and saves lots of time, particularly for new users of Eagle.

Hi, I couldn't download this file. Can someone send me if it's not a problem.

Looks amazing! Thank you!

This is cool but surely 0.8

is not enough ??
Thanks,
Serge
We used this lpc1768 layout for a pcb. However, the pins of the mbed do not fit in the holes.
The mbed needs to have a pin size defined as .9mm hole
because we are trying to put a .025" square pin into a .031" round hole.
The correct hole dimension should be slightly larger than a pin size of .0353553391" or .9mm.
As a mbed newby, it is important to be able to what needs to be done.
1. What is the MBED_v2.1?lbr file
2. what program opens it?
3. I need a file like MBED_v2.1.dwg that I can open in DraftSight so I can open it and draw my circuit diagrams and get all the pin assignment issues resolved in real space.
4. I am happy to make myOwn.dwg but where do I download it so that others like me who like 2D drawings can use it for their own projects.
New Problem, the . dwg I made in DraftSight is reported as an invalid file. So I have made progress but need to find a way to share it.
Here is the .jpg version
