”mbed-fest 2015 at Nagoya and Higashi-Ginza of early summer” the mbed user meet up event was held on June 27th and 28th.

As the guests, we had ARM mbed team member from all over the world including UK (Cambridge), US (Austin), China (Shanghai), Finland (Oulu) and Blugaria (Sofia). We had about 50 attendees in Nagoya, and over 100 attendees in Higashi-Ginza. We borrowed the meeting room at Dwango in Higashi-Ginza. Unfortunately, we had a equipment trouble in Nagoya and couldn't broadcast our event, but in Higashi-Ginza, we did live broadcast via Nico-Nico with corporation of Dwango and over 1,100 unique users watched it. Thanks to Dwango!

And there were about 600 tweets in #mbed_fest hash tag in 2 days. http://togetter.com/li/840865

[Displaying works using mbed (without using and)]

Many works were displayed this time again. Especially in Higashi-Ginza, there were too many and the table was fully occupied. And everyone was very interested in all of them.

[mbed try and touch corner]

Hands-on workshop targeting mbed beginners completing user registration to LED blinking program. Okano-san, mbed-fest Executive Committee - aka Lifetime honorary chairman or top cat (bear?) of FUREAI, had taken this responsibility over.

10 people in Nagoya and 20 people in Higashi-Ginza enjoyed this workshop. Usually, members of mbed-fest Executive Committee support this workshop, but this time, event attendees also supported them. Many thanks to those people, it was good to build new relationships.

[LT (Lightning Talks)]

Waiting time was about 5 minutes for LT, demo and presentation on free them were done. And surprise news came out of it.

[Lucky draw]

Because there were only 50 attendees, everyone got something in Nagoya, and some even got two. And not everyone got something in Higashi-Ginza, but everyone enjoyed rock, paper, scissors game.

The hottest present was "mbed NXP LPC1768 super cool button + golden LED mbed". The cool button was only available in the first lot of products; moreover, it was the special edition with golden LED (usually it's blue). It was rare that Chris Style, who is the developer of mbed and actually soldered it. Congratulations to a winner.

All members of mbed Executive Committee always think "we want to join the lucky draw to get those presents", but we received food, drinks & gifts. We really appreciate it. m(_ _)m

It was a 2 days event and tough to prepare, it was so nice to see everyone's smile. Many presentations, LT and demos were done, and I believe everyone enjoyed them. Thanks to everyone attended to this seminar and watched live event via Nico Nico.

[Social gathering]

About 60 people attended and deepened relationships around mbed. We also did LT here.
