Create a custom board based in an existing devkit with same processor.
We have developed a complex custom board, that is based in STM32L433 micro-controller. Most of the firmware were already developed in several different development kits, that have common blocks with our hardware. We produce a few tens of projects each year, and we are moving our development team to use mbed. We am using GCC-ARM together with VS Code as development IDE.
My main question: Is it possible to create a custom hardware specification (based in any of the many available development kits), that lie in the project tree, NOT in MBED tree, so that I can make it independent of any future mbed update?
Due to the lack of information on creating off-the-tree board specification, we might remove mbed (that seems to be promising) from our development plans. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi Carlos,
I have projects that go back 3-4 years where I do not need to update the Mbed library files. With Mbed Studio (offline, using Arm Compiler 6) just released, endless help from the Mbed team, I think you will find it a good move. I'm sure your development team would be able to port your existing project(s) into Mbed.
Contact Mbed directly here, if you would like further information.
