Using Pelion device management serivces is better than a web server. It will allow you to control your device from anywhere without the need for fixed up addresses and opening ports on your firewall.

I agree with Jim but in case you still would like to play around with your mbed board then you can try to adapt the https://os.mbed.com/users/hudakz/code/WebSwitch_mbed-os/. It worked for me with an STM32F767ZI board.
