does i2s library work with SAMD21 MCU

I've read through the I2S library page but seems to be focussed on the LPC1768. Does anyone know if the library works with the Atmel SAMD21?

I can't get the mbed os blinky to example at the moment so can't test it out

I have had to read through the I2S code for another issue and the only I/O register and pin options handled in the older I2S library from 2010/11 are only for the LPC1768.
