Other things you need to use the new MAX32630FTHR?

It looks like the MAXREFDES100HDK programmer board does not come with the MAX32630FTHR mbed board and you cannot program it without one, is that correct?

Could not find any links to buy it, but I noticed that Digikey and Mouser seem to have it: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/maxim-integrated/MAXREFDES100HDK-/MAXREFDES100HDK--ND/6554076 or http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Maxim-Integrated/MAXREFDES100HDK/?qs=%2fha2pyFadui9tNlA08bXHyTr1j4VvuM6TvYZhyuF7r7XQlUlGvl3Ow%3d%3d for $40

So I assume you also need one of these?

Also, it looks like you will likely need a set of long 12 & 16 pin header socket pins from Adafruit like these https://www.adafruit.com/products/2830 soldered on the MAX32630FTHR mbed board to be able to use it a breadboard and/or add a feather board. They also have ones with shorter pins, but it looks like they do not work in breadboards and can only be used to add feather boards. A couple micro USB cables are also needed to hook it up to power and the programmer board. Might even want a USB 5V power source, if you don't have one for a breadboard setup with other devices are added that need more power.

Are there any other suggested options that work well for this?

Jim, It is not well documented, but the MAX32630FTHR# is currently shipping with the MAXREFDES100HDK# so you will be able to program it out of the box.

The board does not ship with any headers installed, just like the other Feather boards from Adafruit because different uses may require different connectors. Adafruit has several options available if you want to use male, or female headers, tall or short headers, or stacking socket headers. While it is a bit of a hassle to instal the connectors, they are much easier to install than to remove. Adafruit has a great selection of accessories to accompany these boards.

Since my first post, the packages for today just arrived and I got three MAX32630FTHRs from Mouser. They have a SWD ribbon cable, but no programmer board in any of them. Does it come in the same box - it was one box per mbed and the label on the box does not list the programmer? Are there older ones out there without, and newer ones now with the programmer board?

Have another half dozen or so coming from Digikey? soon - hope they are the newer ones with the programmer.

Update: Two just showed up the next day from Digikey with the programmer with them in the newer flat cardboard box package - others on back order. So I have a couple programmers now.
