STM32 F303K8 dead out of box
I've just bought my second F303K8 - my first was is happily installed in a project. But this new one appears to be DOA.
This unit, when plugged in, writes a file called FAIL.TXT on bootup: "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU"
I can't copy any files to it: "There is not enough space on the disk." says Windows.
STM32 ST-LINK program cannot connect to the micro (and it can on my working other one).
I've upgraded to the latest usb firmware, version on it is: "V2.J28.M16 STM32 Debug+Mass storage"
Is there anything I can do? Or is it a total loss of £10?

I have never tried but the workaround suggested by Maxime Teissier sounds also promising.
