Where has the 'Timers' API gone
Hi All,
I have been 'away' from mbed a few months, and have returned to mbed OS5.x
I appreciate that this has meant a huge upheaval for the whole mbed site, and I look forward to using OS5.x
Yesterday I was asked about how to use a timer, so I went to the site - and could not find it. The OS5 documentation at https://docs.mbed.com/docs/mbed-os-api-reference/en/5.2/ groups the API into 5 sections. I could not find timers in there (although I was pushed for time).
Instead I did a search, and found the original references to Timers at https://developer.mbed.org/handbook/Timer, along with a warning on the Homepage that this is that this is OS2:
----
mbed OS 2 and mbed OS 5
This is the handbook for mbed OS 2. If you’re working with mbed OS 5, please see the new handbook and API References.
-----
Back to OS5 documentation. Still cannot find references to Timers. Is this an oversight? I expect the OS2 stuff will still work, but that's not really the issue. If I didn't know about OS2, I would have given up at this point, which cannot be good for attracting new developers.
Is it just me - did I miss the obvious link somewhere, or are things like the Timers API 'disconnected' from the new world of OS5?
This is not a technical query, just a heads up that the site my not be functioning properly
Thanks (I'm still a big mbed fan)
