Latest ST-LINK upgrade does not work
I downloaded the latest ST-Link firmware (V2J27M15) and updated my mbed board. After the update the board no longer worked. I only saw two files in the mass storage device (mbed.htm and details.txt). The drive properties also only shows 8 k of space available. Since my board is not a standard ST-Micro board (it is a Multitech UDK) I tried the update on a stock Nucleo F401 with the same results. I then tried replacing the firmware with an older version (V2.J23.M9) and the board started working again. I have added screen shots of the mass storage device showing what I see.

Hi,
I upgraded my STLink firmware to use V2J27M15 and made test with Nucleo-F411RE with no issue faced: I used the Nucleo_blink_led example and it is working as expected. What do you mean by "the board no longer worked."?
I am working with a contact at ST micro on this issue. I was not able to duplicate the problem so I think part of my issue was a programming issue. But I have found that the V27 update does not created a fail.txt file when it cannot communicate with the target device. So that was leading me to believe I had other issues. You can simulate this by pulling JP6 on the Nucleo board.
