To read adc data on FRDM kl25z via SPI communication

Good afternoon,

I am setting SPI communication between FRDM kl25z and my ADC. Initially to check the communication I used two FRDM boards, one as master and other as slave. I could read the data from master on slave. Can any one tell me how to make the FRDM board(master) read data from my ADC(slave)

What is the ADC device and do you have an API for it?
