Problem related to firmware update

I have problems relating to firmware update.i have downloaded the new release update firmware for lpc 1768 from the mbed website.It is downloaded in .if format and the firmware that is to be loaded on the chip in isp mode should be in .bin extension.So how can i convert the file from .if extension to .bin format?

It is in the correct format already, .if is the correct extension for a firmware update on the LPC1768.

Applications that run on the board should have a .bin format but a firmware update isn't an application.

So,if i copy the if extension file on the chip in the isp mode and do power cycle on off then will it update the firmware on my 1768 mc
