Why can't I create folders?
I have a growing number of programs and it is getting harder to search through my list to find the program I want to work on. I would like to create folders to organize my programs and make it easier to find the one I want. In the program workspace panel on the left side of the screen, I click on the arrow beside "new" and there is a drop down list. This list says : new program, new folder, new library, new file. HOWEVER, it will only allow me to choose "new program". I don't know why I can't click on "new folder". Can anyone help?

This is not possible sadly, and as far as I know not planned to be added soon (sadly). They should force more at mbed HQ to work with the online compiler without folders :).
Not much of a solution but you can hide projects you aren't working on right now. Click on My Programs and then in the main window uncheck the programs you want to hide.
It's no substitute for folders but it's better than nothing.
posted by Andy A 23 Jun 2015I fully agree; I'd love to have some containers for programs. I'm teaching and I'm using mbed so I have tons of example programs and programs I import from students. I'd love to have a way of putting these in "metafolders", or even to sort them by tag....
