CAN-bus on LPC1549 Xpresso board

I plan to use CAN-bus on an outdoor robot that is under construction. CAN on the 1768 MBED works fine, but I was hoping to build nodes using the LPC1549 Xpresso board. A simple CAN write test program compiles and runs, but gives odd results (a single pulse). I have a PICOscope that can decode the CAN messages.

Has anyone had any experience of getting CAN working in the LPC1549Xpresso board?

Just got it going, but uses the 'MBED' pins, 7&8 or 8&9.

Will update when I manage to get some more done
