Why does this not work out the box?

I used this example back in Feb and it worked.

Now importing the sample fresh wont even compile

I've tried importing and updating all associated libs. but still compiler errors.

Given that its an example application it should at least compile out of the box. can this be rectified?

The project you are using, is outdated and no longer public due to changes in the mbed sdk.

Have you considered to move to the new driver library C027_Support. The C027_SupportTest Application contains an example that is sending an receiving SMS.
