Compatibility to Kickstarter IMU?
Hey there,
There is this IMU board on kickstarter I'm interested in, since it packs gyros, magnetos and accelerometers, plus barometers and stuff, and all for less than half the cost of what Sparkfun et al. are selling. However I want to interface it with an Mbed to use as a controller, do you have any ideas of how hard/easy this could be? Link is here and I've inserted one of their pictures below: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1101297082/thalamus-imu-motion-sense-control-board-for-your-p?ref=live
Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem to interface it, it supports most standard stuff.
However if cost is your issue, there is really no reason to buy this. I have for example this one: http://www.drotek.fr/shop/en/home/62-imu-10dof-mpu6050-hmc5883-ms5611.html. Yeah the mbed then has to do the calculations, but it is significantly cheaper. Also ebay has enough results: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC1.A0.X10dof+imu&_nkw=10dof+imu&_sacat=0&_from=R40
