Good grief! What are you guys doing to/with cellular?? It's a disaster (from the driver point of view). I'm trying to port over a modem driver. You have taken something that was easy and flexible to implement to something that just might be impossible to conform to at the driver level without making modifications to the upper layer. Sigh...

yeah, I've been trying to wrap my head around the Cellular driver/framework model for a bit, and seems like major changes are happening. Is there a end in site with updated documentation?

I don't see any way to provide input on the direction of this effort. Is there a committee? Is there a discussion? Ugh! For now, I've decided that it is easier to port support for a new modem using the older driver model and just live with the "deprecated" warnings. I hate doing it, but there is no other easy way.
