Long buildtimes

I am experiencing longer and longer buildtimes in my project. Last timing I did was 30 seconds from compile to download. This is especially annoying when errors are reported within the first seconds of the build while freezing the editor.
On top of this I am experiencing laggy responses when working in the editor in genera. Am I the only one experiencing this lately.
Ideally I would like to be able to build offline in a better editor as my workflow has slowed down more and more the past weeks.
