Hi, Mbed is actually using Wifly for wifi access, but there is a new, better and lower cost module called GainSpan, it have more features and also makes SSL connections possible for security purposes. One place that sells this module is at http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10808
It would be useful to have libraries for that kind of module.
Mbed is being a reference on the Internet of Things because the use of this new concept of HTML and web sockets in a microprocessor. So lower cost hardware means more ppl adicted to it, and also in future SSL would be a must in some applications
