i have a power connection problem!

i have a serious problem with my mbed ! when i save a program on the mbed and run it, it runs normally without any problems, but when i connect it to a 9V battry (with the positive terminal connected to Vin and the negative connected to GND), the mbed turns on and starts to run the main function but it doesn't excute any interrupts (note: the application i'm on basically depends on interrupts)... do anyone have any idea?

Are you using capacitors say 4.7uf or maybe 47uf before connect the battery to Vin.

So you run the risk of over heating the mbed and the mbed drawing sporadic power, that's why where ever you learned this stuff.. the teacher says allways use caps and inductors and regulators ...on the battery power line.
