New mbed = no com port

Hi,

I bought a new mbed to replace the one I fried. The new device plugs in, is recognized, runs the blinky program, but I cannot see it as a com port on either my Vista or XP professional computers...

I did a search here and read something about a serial installer etc... This is the kind of stuff where I need a "For Dummies" instruction on how to resolve. I do not even know where to find this installer so I can try to run it?

What do I need to do here?

Do you run into this with every new mbed?
