SD Cards compatiblity for mbed NXP LPC1768

Hello,

I'm programming an LPC1768 and I want to use an RS-EDP module to save some data on a micro SD Card, but I don't know if any card might be compatible. What's the maximum size of the micro SD card for that uC? Would the SD library be able to handle that maximum size?

i've tried a 2GB and it didn't work so I think the maximum it can handle is 1GB, tho the formatting options are very important. haven't had the time to play with all of them
