DigitalOut starts high

I am using DigitalOut to wiggle a few output lines. The problem I have is that when the program starts the output of the pin goes to about 2.2V and stays there for about 350ms before the program actually starts running. For my application this would cause significant problems. Any way to get the pins to start in the low state?

I believe IO pins start off after reset as inputs and the on-chip pull-up resistor enabled. You'll probably need an external resistor to ground.
