Good beginers guide to C

Hi, I can see the potential of mbed but have no experience in using C C++ etc.

Can someone recommend a good place to start, a good reference guide for example.

The C Programming Language is really straight forward, clear and precise:

You can likely get off Amazon for a few quid.
